Elizabeth Otto Makala is a qualified Community Economic Development Worker, with more than ten years’ experience in community development and social projects. She has worked for various local and international NGOs as Microfinance Project Coordinator and Women Empowerment Supervisor. Elizabeth works from a deeply rooted belief in the power of women to enhance their own position, provided they have access to adequate training and coaching in areas such as bookkeeping, business planning, and marketing. She is fully committed to the women participating in the program of Wanawake Tunaweza.

Irene Francis Mushi has almost ten years’ experience in working with underprivileged groups of women, single mothers, widows, and orphans, supporting them to improve their social-economic situation and raise awareness and knowledge of their social and economic rights. With great dedication, Irene aims to add value to and positively impact the lives of the people she is so closely working with in the program of Wanawake Tunaweza. Irene holds a Master of Law. As a Human Rights coordinator for a local NGO, she has specialised in human rights, and women’s and children’s safety.
