Langa Women

Langa Women is one of the largest groups in our programme. Consisting of 15 passionate women from Tengeru, a suburb of Arusha in northern Tanzania.

The group formed in October 2025 and joined the Wanawake Tunaweza Tanzania programme the following March. Having written and signed their constitution, the group is currently working with their Wanawake Tunaweza Tanzania coach to finalise their business idea and develop a plan.

There is plenty of small business experience within the group. The women have run a wide variety of successful business ventures at an individual level. These range from small retail outlets selling jewellery, shoes and food items to small-scale chicken farming, a business producing liquid soap, and a successful venture buying and selling bed sheets.

With so much entrepreneurial strength in their ranks, big things are expected from the Langa Women’s next venture. We can’t wait to see what they come up with with our support!
